Río Manso Lodge

One of our latest findings, and a real good one, is the new
Rio Manso Lodge located a short drive south of the Bariloche
area on the upper stretches of the river that bares the same name: Rio Manso.
Flowing through a variety of lakes, waterfalls and rapids,
Rio Manso is one of the most scenic rivers in Patagonia ,
and this may even be an understatement. It features a wide
variety of fishing conditions that will suit preferences of all sorts. Browns, rainbows and brook trout thrive healthily in the unpolluted and pristine waters of this river which presents
the right habitat for strong fighting fish.
On the Manso, you’ll find fishing structure of all sorts: undercut banks, sunken logs, drop-offs, meandering channels, weedy river-bottoms, overhanging trees, big lakes, small lakes, pristine stream water, rock formations, rapids, waterfalls, slick dry-fly selective-trout water, foam feeding lines, productive water seams, fallen trees, compelling riffles and classic pools.
The variety is wide and interesting in the middle of the
Patagonian forest where wildlife is profuse.
| Fishing the Manso is a bit
of an adventure in many ways, it’s a collection of different experiences, and it’s great for fly-fishing beginners as well as for those demanding
seasoned anglers. |
|
Rio Manso Lodge is strategically located to facilitate comfortable access to many productive stretches of the river as well as to various prolific lakes filled with strong fighting brook trout such as Lakes Fonck and Hess among others. And what may be even more important to many people is that Rio Manso Lodge is not just a fishing experience: non-fishing companions can enjoy a variety of activities, such as: floating the surrounding rivers, bird watching, trekking and horse back riding.
