Hua Hum River
Estancia
Tres Lagos
Patagonia Outfitters will take you this season to Estancia
Tres Lagos on the Filo Hua Hum river. A privately owned working
ranch dedicated to cattle breeding, located on the road that
joins Bariloche and San Martín de los Andes within the National
Park in one of the most spectacular sceneries in northern
Patagonia.

From
Estancia Tres Lagos, we access 12 km of the Filo Hua Hum river
and both the Filo Hua Hum and Nuevo lakes. Since this river
has a lake on each end, this makes for the possibility of
catching a big lake trout any time.
Guests
stay in attractively furnished cabins each with twin beds
and private bathroom. The dining and sitting areas are in
a separate building where you will enjoy delicious meals prepared
by your hostess, Ginny Taylor, a superb chef (owner of one
of the best restaurant in San Martín de los Andes: El Radal)

Fishing
is a combination of wading on the Filo Hua Hum river, floating
the productive Filo Hua Hum lake to fly fish its reed-covered
banks, wading the short stretch that joins both lakes whose
reed beds often yield large cruising fish in the evenings.
Non-fishing
activities, especially horseback riding and hiking, are very
well organized. This location is ideal for family groups,
the more casual-fisher person, or guests traveling with non-fishing
companions.
